The Quarter Life Chronicles

Last night I had the idea of taking all my past blogs/journals and combining them in a Word Document.  It's been hell on my eyes, and I'm just in 2004 but I think that once it's all completed it'll be fun to read it back and see how I've changed over the last five years or so.  I also think that on a creative level I might use all the material for something worthwhile but I will have to see how things go.  I'm sure that when I'm reading everything back, I will be posting some of my favorite moments through the years.  s

It might be fun to do some "if I had it to do over again" or "things I wish I'd known then" type posts.

You might want to make your own book try this site http://www.blurb.com/. I have thought of doing it but just haven't got round to it. I expect there are some good posts that it would be worth sharing again. Did you know that in Zemanta you can point it to your own blog and it will pick up older posts for you that are pertinent to the current one.

I've had a flick through some of my old blog posts from time to time. Mostly I laugh at the pictures hehe.

It's kinda funny. Sometimes I come across my journals/diaries from middle & high school & have to laugh @ the stuff that was so important to me, or get kinda sad that I haven't gotten through some of the issues I had back then.

Wow - what an undertaking! But I bet it will be so worth it in the end.

Funny how our lives change over the years, isn't it? And the things that we forget ... just those could fill a book, couldn't they?

Speaking of books ... perhaps this project will end up being one?

You have articulated my favorite thing about blogging -- the way it provides an ongoing road map of where we've been and where we're going.

I have actually done this with my entries as well. Once you get all caught up it will be a lot easier to maintain a current seperate file. And it feels so exciting to have all those entries at your fingertips like that, offline. It does actually help in other writings :)
