TGIF! 09/25/2008
 

Tomorrow is Friday.  In the eight years that I have been gainfully employed, the expression "TGIF" finally applies to me.  I have to say, it's a good feeling!

It seems as though every job I've had up to this point have required me to work weekends, with the exception of one job-but as I was in college at the time and also working part time at another job-weekends were still filled with work.

I didn't exactly mind having to work weekends, weekdays do have their merits-but let's face it...all the "fun" stuff happens on the weekends.  If I decide that I want to indulge a little on Friday night with everyone else...hey, I can do that without the worry of how I will feel the next day. 

The only "bad" thing about tomorrow being Friday is that tomorrow is when I'm scheduled to take the road portion of my CDL test-and of course it's suppose to be raining.  Just my luck.  But hey, at least it's Friday!

Good luck on your test. My Poor Hubby recently took his CDL for his most recent job & came through it all right.

I use to hate working on the weekends.. If I knew I had to do something fun I would book that night off in advance.. Sometimes I missed working straight days behind a desk.. But I made more money working weekends.. I work 24/7 now at home..I miss the good old days..

Ah, driving tests.

There are times that being a twin stinks. That was one of those times. My sister failed-- couldn't parallel park. Then it was my turn up. I was so scared, b/c she had just failed and was crying her eyes out. I passed.

She wouldn't let me tell ANYONE that I had gotten my liscense, b/c then they would know that she hadn't.

Autumn, congrats to your husband. hopefully he's doing well with his job. A CDL licence does help out a lot.

Peppylady, it's nice to finally be able to loo forward to it after years of associating Friday with my Monday or Sunday.

Babybull, sometimes I'd take off days if something fun was coming up, but with only so many paid days off it's not always possible. Thanks for the congrats.

Becky, when my brother/sister (twins) went for their drivers test, they both passed...but they somehow convinced my mom to tell my dad that they both failed. It was kind of funny. Hopefully your sis passed the next time around.
